Selene Foster

Selene Foster lives in Palo Alto, CA with an inventor, some number of chickens, and a dog-cat.

Originally from the high desert on the eastern side of California’s Sierra Nevada mountains, she went on to attend Bard College (New York), studying Studio Art and Literature (B.A., 1999), and obtained her Master’s degree in Fine Art from Mills College (Oakland) in 2004. Her artwork has since been exhibited on both coasts.

She is the Co-founder and Executive Director of BAASICS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to exploring contemporary topics through the juxtaposition of art and science. She is also the North American Ambassador for the Museum of Broken Relationships, Exhibitions Coordinator and Assistant Curator at the Palo Alto Art Center, and Exhibition Designer and Curator for the upcoming AICAD Symposium at California College of the Arts.
