Sandra Skurvida

Sandra Skurvida is an independent curator, writer, scholar, and lecturer based in New York City. Her practice in transnational contemporary art intersects with political discourse and policy, as exemplified in the curatorial platform http://www.otheris.com, which she founded in 2011. In conjunction with Iran Modern exhibition at Asia Society in 2013, she convened and organized (with the Annenberg School for Communications, University of Pennsylvania) a symposium “Iran: Art and Discourse,” and is currently writing a book on the topic. In 2013-14, her writings appeared in Interventions, Art Papers, Ibraaz, Mousse, Dailė, and The International Journal of Islamic Art and Architecture.
