Lauren Mullen
Laura Mullen is the author of eight books: Complicated Grief, Enduring Freedom: A Little Book of Mechanical Brides, The Surface, After I Was Dead, Subject, Dark Archive, The Tales of Horror, and Murmur. She collaborates frequently with musicians, and her work has been widely anthologized. Recent work has appeared in The Nation, Poetry, Lana Turner, Interim, and Conjunctions. Verge, a collaboration with the artist John David O’Brien, was launched at the Pasadena LitFest and her translation of Veronique Pittolo’s Hero is forthcoming from Black Square. She’s thinking about institutions, identity, security and—to quote the Phi Beta Kappa newsletter that just arrived in her inbox—“contemporary social issues like immigration.”
